Dear brothers and sisters of planet Earth! I AM METATRON!
Today I want to address a topic that many of you struggle with and complain about a lot: focus. And why the lack of focus? Why is it so hard for you to keep your attention on a single point?
You’ve been used to multitasking to save time. But if you think about it, when you do many things at once, the quality of your work isn’t as good as it could be. Often, you even put yourselves at risk of getting hurt because you aren’t focused on what you’re doing in that moment.
“Oh, so is there an exercise that will give me focus—entirely in that moment?” No, I wouldn’t say it’s a magic exercise, nor is it that powerful. But what you need is to pay attention, to be present—in every moment, with every task, and with every action.
So your minds are filled with many thoughts at the same time. Often you even concentrate on something and stay focused on that task, but every now and then your brain brings up another memory, another thought—something you weren’t even imagining. And in this way, other thoughts come, and it starts to look like that circus act where the performer balances several sticks with spinning plates on the ends.
That’s how your thoughts are. You’re doing one thing, thinking about another, thinking about yet another—and each new thought is another plate you set spinning. And because of this, you’re not fully present in any task, at any moment.
So, let’s look at this problem from another perspective: the energetic perspective. When you have a thought and give it power, you hang that plate on the end, and it keeps spinning. So, figuratively speaking, it uses energy to keep spinning. Now let’s bring this into real life. You have a thought, you focus on it, and you keep creating scenarios; so you’re creating a path, using your life energy to sustain that thought.
It’s as if you had opened a door. Your mind has many doors, so you open one and place that thought there, and it multiplies, creating a path for you. And as it creates this path, it drains your vital energy. It uses up your energy. “Oh, but I’m not thinking about it anymore.” It doesn’t matter. It’s like a spinning plate that has to keep spinning. So the thought comes and goes; it comes to you, but in your mind it keeps getting processed.
So the more doors you open with your thoughts, the less focused you become. The less fully you’re present in each moment. Is there a solution? The solution is for you to be present in every moment. But yes, I’m going to teach you a little exercise so you can start practicing it, and you’ll see that over time you’ll stop giving in to useless thoughts that lead nowhere.
So, first point. You’ve thought of something—some nonsense. Remember: you’ve opened a door, created a path. “Oh, but this thought is nonsense.” So tell your mind: “Close this door. I end this thought right here.” It doesn’t have to be those exact words. Say whatever comes to mind, but make sure it tells your brain: “This thought ends here. You’re not supposed to hold onto it.” And you can say the word “no”—in this case, yes—because you’re within a specific context. Then your brain will understand that it shouldn’t hold onto that thought, and it will extinguish the path and close the door.
In the other case, you have a thought, open the door, and the path begins to take shape. But that thought is something interesting. And if you hold onto it, before long, you’ll be thinking about something else, and that thought will fade away. But it will continue to drain your energy. So what will you do?
While in the Inner Temple, in the Divine Presence, you’ll ask your Higher Self to take action. “Oh, but I’m not in touch with my Higher Self yet.” It’s still there. It exists. It’s part of you. You’re part of it. So it’s there. You can call upon it without any problem at all. So let’s go!
While in the Inner Temple, in the Divine Presence, you will invoke your Higher Self and say: “My Higher Self, show me all the thoughts that I have initiated, that I am no longer aware of, and that are draining my vital energy.”
Don’t expect your brain to come up with a list on the spot and send it to you. That’s not how it works. The Higher Self has received an order, and it will carry it out in its own way. So I’m just telling you to keep a notebook, a pencil, or a pen—it doesn’t matter—always by your side. And whenever a thought comes to your mind, ask yourself: “Should I hold onto this thought? Is it important to me? Yes, it’s important.” Then go to your notebook and write it down. “No, this thought isn’t important. It was something I thought of, but it has no future.” “My Higher Self, close this door.” Or just tell your brain: “Put an end to this thought. Close this door.” And that thought will vanish from your brain.
What are you actually doing? You’re clearing your brain of all those useless thoughts with no future that it keeps holding onto. Because it thinks that one day you’ll come back to them. And every time you stop… “Now I’m going to concentrate; I’m going to focus.” “Oh, she’s stopped. I’m going to remember all those thoughts.” Your brain starts sending you a flood of thoughts. Because that’s the moment you stopped.
So, if you clear your mind, you’ll be able to focus. Because there won’t be anything for you to remember. In fact, your brain will be at ease because you’ve written it down. So it doesn’t need to hold onto it—you’re writing it down. Do you understand? You’re relieving your brain of the task of holding onto those useless thoughts, or of constantly reminding you of thoughts that are important to you—and that you’ve often already forgotten.
So, my brothers and sisters, this is a form of therapy, and it can be done indefinitely, forever, if you wish. Get into the habit of writing things down. When an interesting thought comes to mind, write it down, and say to yourself: “This thought is written down; I can let it go.” There you go—your brain closes that door.
Now many of you are asking me at this moment: “But what’s so bad about having a lot of thoughts in your mind?” As I said: Every thought you have opens a door, creates a path, and drains your vital energy. So you end up tired, with a jumbled mind, stressed out, and nervous—because there’s just too much going on in your head.
So you need to clear your mind to find calm and peace. And when you’re doing a task, focus on that task. Don’t let your brain bring in anything else. When you realize you’re in the middle of a task and you’re hearing thoughts… “I am currently performing this task,” and say the name of the task. No other thoughts.
Understand this: consciousness is you. You are in control of your brain, not the other way around. So you need to teach your brain—your mind—how to behave. Eventually, your brain will reach a point where it says, “He’s performing an important task right now. I won’t interrupt him.” And you’ll achieve your focus.
“Oh, is this a quick exercise that I’ll do just once, and then I’ll have all the focus in the world?” Of course not. As I’ve already said, this is an exercise. And the more you practice, the better you’ll get. The more you’ll gain awareness and control over your mind. So, I think it’s worth a try.
If you think all this is nonsense, that’s perfectly fine. You just won’t be building a focused journey. And for those of you who are already able to stay focused today, congratulations! But if you want to try the exercise too, go ahead! Eliminate useless thoughts. I guarantee you’ll remember a lot of things you once thought about, forgot, and would like to recall. But your brain has stored it all.
So why not try the exercise? But feel free to do as you please. It’s up to each of you.
